The wait for the thing that will tide you over while you wait for the real thing is almost over. Disney has announced that the third and likely final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut tomorrow night during halftime on Monday Night Football, which starts at 8:15PM ET. (In a glorious act of corporate synergy, Monday Night Football is on ESPN — a network that's part of the Disney corporate family.)
Although we've seen a few new clips this summer — a behind-the-scenes reel here, an Instagram video there — we haven't had a full trailer since April. And before that, it was the first teaser in November.

So what can we expect in this look? A real glimpse at Luke Skywalker, perhaps? A "Beastie Boy" X-Wing pilot? A close-up of bones in the desert and a voice off-screen screaming, "There! That's what I think about Jar Jar Binks!" It's all possible — as is an explanation of that weird, globe-thingie with an eye that was revealed in the new poster this morning.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens — the full, non-trailer movie — will hit theaters on December 18th.
