A dream you didn't know you had has finally come true. Chance the Rapper, the Chicago spitfire with a huge, loyal fanbase and no official album to his name, and Stephen Colbert, comedian and Late Show host, are making a song together. As Complex points out, Chance dropped the news during a weekend interview on the New York radio station Hot 97. "Me and Stephen Colbert have been working on a song together, and it’s gonna be released very soon," Chance said. "He’s amazing. I can’t get that deep into it, but he’s amazing."
It's unclear what the song will sound like. Pithy cultural commentary over a wonky double-time beat? A duet ballad about new friendship? A musical announcement that Chance will be taking over the Late Show?? Who knows! Mercifully, we only have to wait a few more hours to find out. Last night, Chance tweeted that he would premiere the song on tonight's episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert at 11:35PM ET.
Premiering my new song with @StephenAtHome tomorrow night at 10:35PM CST on @CBS #LSSC #Angels
