Bob Odenkirk and David Cross' new show, W/ Bob and David, will land on Netflix in November, but if you're no good at waiting, a sketch from the series is now available to watch a couple weeks early. In the video, five friends discuss their New Year's resolutions during a game of poker, and no one believes Paul F. Tompkins' character can stick to his: giving up meat.
Tompkins' vegetarianism is the simplest resolution, but the one met with the most disbelief (wacky alert!). Odenkirk's character wants to be a freelance pope (a nod to the creators' cult HBO series, Mr. Show) while Cross' character plans to start a cellphone company. Everyone at the table is sure of their success, except Tompkins.
Tompkins: "You know that Samsung is a huge company right?"
Cross: "Yeah..."
Tompkins: "Well then how're you gonna outsell them?"
Cross: "It's gonna be a better product, asshole!"
I won't give away the ending, but you can probably guess who's going to stick to their resolutions and who's not. Hint: it's not what you think. Or maybe it is. W/ Bob and David arrives on Netflix on November 13th.
