The much anticipated, universe-spanning space game No Man's Sky finally has a release date: you can finally play the game in June 2016. The June release is confirmed for the PS4 version, though it's unclear if the PC edition will be available at the same time.
No Man's Sky was first announced in December 2013, and since then has garnered an incredible amount of hype, due to a combination of its beautiful sci-fi visuals and unprecedented scope; according to developer Hello Games, No Man's Sky will feature a staggering 18 quintillion procedurally generated worlds to explore, all of which are different. Hello Games is a small team of less than a dozen people, whose previous games involved a cartoony stunt man called Joe Danger.
Because of this, No Man's Sky has also received its share of skepticism due to its sheer scale — though we came away from our most recent hands on at E3 very impressed.
