Fans have been waiting a long time for a follow up to parkour action game Mirror's Edge, and they're going to have to wait just a bit longer: today EA announced that Mirror's Edge Catalyst, which was originally due to launch in February, is now expected to release on May 24th. "We will use these few extra months to make sure that when you step into the massive City of Glass and experience the rise of Faith, it's as entertaining, impressive, and memorable as it can be," says senior producer Sara Jansson.
Catalyst was first teased last year, and EA finally detailed the new title at E3 in June. The new game once again stars heroine Faith, and based on our early time with the game it's shaping up to be a bigger, more open take on the original. And with its clean futuristic world and focus on movement over violence, it's also something of a breath of fresh air. When it does launch, Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
