The newest track from cat chemists Run the Jewels, like most Run the Jewels songs, feels like a tow-truck backing up slowly into your skull. Killer Mike shoves verses like bricks through walls of crackling percussion; El-P raps like his brain is moving faster than his tongue. It sounds like something made to soundtrack a really cinematic moment, which makes sense, because "Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite)" is actually a theme song.

The track was created for Rubber Kings, a documentary about the evolution of New York City hip-hop in the late '60s and '70s. "Rubble Kings Theme" is also part of Adult Swim's Singles series, an annual project that offers up one new song for download each week. 2015's lineup featured one-offs and B-sides from artists like Owen Pallett, Big Freedia, and Shabazz Palaces. Next week is the last in this year's Singles edition; the artist it will feature is still a mystery.
