FX has released two short clips from the upcoming series American Crime Story: The People v. O. J. Simpson (not to be confused with American Crime, which debuted this year). The series is billed as a spinoff of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's horror anthology series American Horror Story, and will tackle one major and controversial court case from American history each season.

The first season stars Cuba Gooding Jr. as O. J. Simpson, John Travolta as Simpson's defense attorney Robert Shapiro, and AHS alum Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, the case's head prosecutor. Murphy, who also created Glee and Scream Queens, is known for pummeling across the line of cultural sensitivity, so it remains to be seen how he will handle a project that so clearly requires taste and tact.

The first clip shows a dog barking on Bundy Drive, the site of Nicole Brown's murder. The second has no footage from the show but lets each major character speak for the first time.

The series will premiere in February 2016.
