As the wait continues for the new Legend of Zelda game — it's reportedly sometime in 2016 — Nintendo has announced an HD remake of Twilight Princess that's coming March 4th, 2016 to the Wii U. Twilight Princess for debuted in 2006 during the awkward transition between consoles; it was the last Zelda title for the GameCube and the first for Wii. It also had the gameplay mechanic of turning Link into a werewolf.
Twilight Princess HD will come with a new Nintendo Amiibo (Wolf Link, naturally). The game will also support previously-released Zelda-themed Amiibo figurines including Toon Link, not-Toon Link, Zelda, Sheik, and Ganondorf. According to Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime, some data from Twilight Princess HD will carry over the new Wii U game. What that means exactly — and again, when that new Legend of Zelda game is actually coming out — is still not known.
