Adele is continuing to build excitement ahead of the release of her third studio album, 25, this Friday. Today, the singer unveiled the full video of the live recording of "When We Were Young," a nostalgic ballad written with Canadian musician Tobias Jesso Jr.
Speaking to SiriusXM, Adele said the song was based around the idea of going to a house party when you were older: "Seeing everyone that you've ever fallen out with, everyone that you've ever loved, everyone that you've never loved, and stuff like that. And where you can't find the time to be in each other lives and you're all thrown together at this party when you're like 50, and it doesn't matter and you have so much fun and you feel like you're 15 again. So that's the kind of vibe of it really [...] My favorite lyric in it is 'You look like a movie, you sound like a song / My god this reminds me of when we were young.'"
25 will be released November 20th.
