TBS has picked up a series order for a new Michael Showalter-helmed comedy starring Arrested Development's Alia Shawkat, The Hollywood Reporter reports. The show, Search Party, is the most recent show to join TBS's massive content overhaul. The network will have an almost entirely new lineup next year, with only American Dad — and no live-action series — returning in 2016.
THR has several details about the plot of Search Party, which will follow a group of brunch-loving 20-somethings as they try to solve the mystery surrounding a random college acquaintance who's gone missing. The show will be written and directed by Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers (Wet Hot American Summer) and "overseen" by Showalter (Wet Hot American Summer, Stella), according to THR.
Search Party will premiere in 2016.
