Quentin Tarantino's frosty western The Hateful Eight is speeding toward its Christmas Day premiere, and a bloody new trailer's just been posted by the movie's official Twitter account. The new clip's heavy on Samuel L. Jackson's mysterious bounty hunter and Kurt Russell's wary hangman, and it'll give you a good look at the rest of the crowded cast, too. If you like gunfire, good humor, and grizzled veterans of the frontier, you'll finish the trailer happy.
The movie's development process has been tumultuous, to say the least: it was put on hold after its script leaked in early 2014, and Tarantino considered releasing the screenplay as a novel before changing his mind back and entering production. He's also been forced to defend his decision to shoot and screen the movie on 70mm film at length at events like Comic-Con. "The thing I don't like about digital projection is that it's just HBO in public," said Tarantino. "If that happens everywhere, then I can just move to television."
The Hateful Eight hits select theaters on December 25th and plays everywhere on January 8th, 2016.
