Magical creatures are set loose in New York for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the Harry Potter spinoff starring Eddie Redmayne as the wizarding world's premier magizoologist Newt Scamander. As this first trailer shows, the film opens in New York in 1926, with Scamander stopping by the city after completing a global tour to collect new magical animals. However, keeping the lid on a case of magical beasts is apparently harder than it looks, with the creatures escaping into the city. The film is written by J.K. Rowling and inspired by the Hogwarts textbook of the same name. It's scheduled for worldwide release on November 18th next year.
