Rdio just released an export tool to help users download the metadata from their music collections to take with them when they switch streaming services. Now Spotify is trying to make that transition even simpler with a new Rdio to Spotify importer.

Once users have downloaded their music collection info from Rdio, all they have to do is drag and drop that zip file into Spotify's importer. The importer will move your favorite artists, playlists, and saved music to your new Spotify account. While it's a useful tool, it's predicated on the idea that you're already planning on making the switch to Spotify. And if you're not already planning to do that, Spotify's probably hoping it can help you make the decision.
