Most of the actors involved with Star Wars: The Force Awakens have gotten their moment in the sun. Hell, we even know that Simon Pegg was on set as an alien. But who voices BB-8? It turns out that it wasn't some computer on Jakku. After this week's premiere, the credits revealed that none other than Stefon and Jean-Ralphio are the voices behind the rolling droid.
Bill Hader and Ben Schwartz are both listed as "BB-8 Vocal Consultants" in the credits. In an interview with HitFix, Hader explained what that means:
"JJ f**king around with this sound effects app on his iPad that was attached to a talk box operated by me. It looked ridiculous but it made BB-8's voice. At first I tried doing a voice, but we all agreed it sounded too human."
Welp. There's one more reason to get hyped up about this movie.
