It's that time of the year again, when mobile game developers drop prices ahead of the holidays. This year you can get a few great deals on otherwise pricey games you might have missed out on. Square Enix, for example, is currently discounting just about every Final Fantasy there is, as well as a pair of classic non-FF RPGs, with sales including:

  • Final Fantasy for $3.99, down from $7.99 (iOS and Android)
  • Final Fantasy II for $3.99, down from $7.99 (iOS and Android)
  • Final Fantasy III for $6.99 on iPhone, $7.99 on iPad and Android (regular $14.99-$16.99)
  • Final Fantasy IV (iOS and Android) and sequel The After Years for $7.99 each, down from $15.99 (iOS and Android)
  • Final Fantasy V for $7.99, down from $15.99 (iOS and Android)
  • Final Fantasy VI for $7.99, down from $15.99 (iOS and Android)
  • Final Fantasy VII for $10.99, down from $15.99 (iOS)
  • Final Fantasy Tactics for $6.99 on iPhone and Android, $7.99 on iPad (regular $13.99-$15.99)
  • Chrono Trigger for $4.99, regular $10.99 (iOS and Android)
  • Secret of Mana for $3.99, regular $7.99 (iOS and Android)

Similarly, 2K is offering steep discounts on much of its lineup of excellent mobile strategy games, so you can get in some XCOM action on the go for half price. Deals include:

  • XCOM: Enemy Within for $4.99, regular $9.99 (iOS and Android)
  • Civilization Revolution 2 for $4.99, regular $9.99 (iOS and Android)
  • Sid Meier's Starships for $4.99, regular $9.99 (iOS)

And if somehow none of those games strike you as interesting, indie studio Supergiant has also puts the iOS versions of two classics on sale: you can grab cyberpunk adventure Transistor for $2.99, and its gritty predecessor Bastion for just $0.99.
