Verizon is going after the #teens. The company has announced it will launch over-the-top channels with Awesomeness TV, the online network geared toward young millennials, and its owner DreamWorks Animation later this year. The multi-year deal will provide Verizon with a channel containing over 200 hours of original content per year produced by AwesomenessTV, with both scripted and unscripted series, and a separate channel produced by DreamWorks Animation, with more family-oriented content.

AwesomenessTV has over 112 million subscribers and over 7 billion views online

AwesomenessTV has programming on Nickelodeon and Netflix, not to mention its staggering YouTube network. The breadth of AwesomenessTV's reach is quite large; it has over 112 million subscribers and over 7 billion views across all networks. Despite an audience that extends far beyond America, Verizon says the two channels will only be available in the US. "This is an incredible opportunity to expand the audience for both AwesomenessTV and DreamWorksTV," Brian Robbins, CEO of AwesomenessTV said. "Mobile is where our audience lives."
