Hubble's biggest image ever: Andromeda This is a 1.5 billion pixel image of our nearest neighbor in the universe: M31, otherwise known as the Andromeda galaxy. Published at the beginning of 2015, it is the biggest Hubble image ever released, and it shows a 40,000 light-year section of Andromeda that contains over 100 million stars.
