Rapper Killer Mike has long been vocal on topics concerning race and hip-hop. (That's all on top of releasing one of the best albums of 2014 last fall.) Last Friday, Mike made an appearance at MIT as part of the university's Hip Hop Speaker Series. During his two-hour talk, the rapper held forth about interactions with the police, the record industry, cultural appropriation, and how the history of hip-hop ought to be taught in classrooms.
