Music industry powerhouse Live Nation has added Bonnaroo to its continually growing collection of festivals. The entertainment company purchased a controlling interest in the music and arts festival, which is held in Manchester, Tennessee, every year. Bonnaroo joins the over 60 festivals under the control of Live Nation, including Lollapalooza, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Austin City Limits Music Festival.

Bonnaroo is one of the landmark music festivals held in the US, and had been run independent of a major corporation since its inception in 2002. Bonnaroo founders Superfly and AC Entertainment say they will still maintain control of the day-to-day operations. Live Nation says it's planning "enhancements to the festival experience" and will improve the 700-acre farm on which Bonnaroo is held each year. With Live Nation's deep pockets in play, Bonnaroo may get better, or worse, mostly depending on your feelings about corporate overlords.
