If you've got an Apple TV, iPhone, or iPad, you're running out of time to get a free month of HBO Now. Since launching earlier this month, the standalone subscription service has offered new customers (and that's everyone) a free 30-day trial. But that limited time deal is set to expire tomorrow, according to HBO Now's website. And Apple says you need to sign up for the free month "before" April 30th. So really, doing it today is probably your safest bet to lock down a month's worth of Game of Thrones and Veep without paying anything.
Cablevision's Optimum customers also have access to the 30-day trial period, which should be plenty of time to determine whether HBO's current programming and back catalog are worth $14.99 every month on top of your many other subscriptions like Netflix, Hulu Plus, Spotify, and whatever else. At least since there's no contract or commitment involved, you can come and go as you please. And if rumors of Apple's three-month exclusivity window are true, holdouts waiting for a Roku or Android version of HBO Now are already a third of the way there, but the free offer might not follow HBO's service to new platforms in the future.
