May the 4th closes with huge Star Wars news. According to The Wrap, the second Star Wars Anthology film will tell the origin story of the bounty hunter Boba Fett. Fans will have to wait years for the film, though, as its release is scheduled for 2018. That date may be delayed, considering director Josh Trank left the project last week.
The Wrap doesn't have any other info beyond confirmation of the long-rumored plot. For those who were born on the forest moon of Endor, Boba Fett is the fan-favorite of the many bounty hunters sent by Jabba the Hutt to capture Han Solo in the original trilogy. He's also featured heavily in the Star Wars prequels, but we'll spare you that headache.
The smallest details have emerged about the first Star Wars anthology film, Rogue One: a group within the Rebel Alliance bands together to steal the blueprints to the Death Star. Rogue One stars Felicity Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, and Riz Ahmed, and is directed by Gareth Edwards.
