Last year's South Park: The Stick of Truth was a surprisingly fun / interactive South Park episode that played on fantasy RPG tropes and called back to a number of characters from the show's past. Today, creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone opened Ubisoft's E3 2015 showcase to announce they are doing it all over again.
South Park: The Fractured but Whole swaps fantasy for superheroes but otherwise seems to follow the same ideas presented in Stick of Truth. That definitely isn't a bad thing. This time the game is being developed by Ubisoft San Francisco (instead of Obsidian, who did the first title). The Fractured but Whole is scheduled for release sometime next year for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
