Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the latest installation of the cyberpunk Deus Ex shooter series, is coming out early next year, and there's a new trailer out for E3. The first trailer played up the game's conspiratorial undertones and heavy metaphors for oppression, but now we're on to the serious business of how you really play. According to this trailer, it will involve upgrading guns, taking out security systems, and using good, old-fashioned wrist blades... a lot like last time around, unsurprisingly, but prettier.
Mankind Divided was announced in April; it's a direct sequel to 2011's Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The game takes place two years after the events of that game, in a world where mechanically augmented humans are living under "mechanical apartheid" as suspected terrorists. Does this have anything to do with the ludicrously deadly weapons protagonist Adam Jensen could integrate into his body in Human Revolution? You might think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
