If Nintendo's goal was to make the most adorable version of Yoshi yet, it has almost definitely succeeded with Yoshi's Woolly World, a new Wii U platformer that puts a yarn Yoshi in a world made of fluffy fabrics. Nintendo has shown the game before today, but it just announced that it'll be released in the US this year on October 16th. The game looks like a pretty straightforward platformer, but that's always great to see from Nintendo — plus, it's from some of the same people who made Kirby's Epic Yarn. As you'd expect, the game plays off of the yarn theme, letting Yoshi unravel enemies and interact with the loosely stitched world. There will also be Amiibo — apparently even plush Amiibo — and you'll even be able to turn other Nintendo characters into weird Yoshi-shaped creatures.
