You know that scene in A Clockwork Orange where the sociopathic protagonist Alex is forced to watch an unending montage of humanity’s worst crimes to “cure” him of his violent tendencies? Well, this mashup of all six Star Wars films would probably have the same effect on sci-fi obsessives. I’m not sure anyone could watch the whole thing and come away feeling the same about Star Wars, no matter how excited they are for the new films.

James Vincent is a senior reporter who has covered AI, robotics, and more for eight years at The Verge.
But while the full, two hours and 22 minutes of video makes for a bewildering watch, still frames from the footage (which is the work of filmmaker and senior Archer animator Marcus Rosentrater) are surprisingly beautiful. Characters and locations from different films bleed into one another, sometimes creating canon-busting scenes like a lightsaber battle on the forest moon of Endor, and other times producing weirdly beautiful collages of faces and gestures — sometimes of the same character. The project may be called Star Wars Wars but it's oddly unifying.
