As The Verge's preeminent men's fashion expert, I place Tom Ford at the top of my list when it comes to menswear brands that consistently bring it every Fashion Week. The man behind the eponymous brand is nothing short of a genius when it comes to dressing those who wish to be covered in the finest Italian threads. But Mr. Ford may have gone too far. Nay, he most certainly has gone too far.

Yes, this is an Apple Watch being worn as a pocket watch, and no, you should never partake in this absurdity, no matter what the man who dresses Jay Z and James Bond says. Wearing an Apple Watch as a pocket watch is like buying a crossover — it just looks weird and everyone knows you just bought it to avoid the eternal trap of the minivan. Embrace the van. Keep your Apple Watch on your wrist or buy a pocket watch and embrace it. But for the love of all things fashionable, don't do both.
