Sonos let its fans know weeks ago that the company's multi-room, wireless speakers would not support Apple Music at launch. But there is some good news: we now know that Apple and Sonos are trying to make it a reality. A Sonos spokesperson has confirmed to The Verge that the two companies are working together to bring Apple Music support "before the end of the year."

Earlier this week, Apple Music senior director (and former head of Beats Music) Ian Rogers told a fan that the new streaming service would make it to Sonos "ASAP," though he confirmed it would not be available at launch. 9 to 5 Mac first spotted the tweet.

Sonos had previously announced that its hardware would "not have Apple Music on it at launch," adding that "we fully expect to support them when they’re ready to focus on the home listening experience. Right now they’re fully focused on mobile."

Apple Music is set to launch on Tuesday, June 30th, for $9.99 per month.

Update, June 28th, 1:47PM ET: Added confirmation from Sonos.
