The first day of camp is on the horizon. Netflix has released the first full trailer for upcoming series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, a prequel to the 2001 cult classic that's set to premiere on July 31st. This new trailer is landing a little over a week after the streaming service released a tantalizing, warped teaser. It's rich in suspiciously wrinkled teenagers — well, except for ageless wonder Paul Rudd — and the kind of absurd hijinx that made its parent film so beloved.

If you're a fan, there's plenty to be excited about here: Ben (Bradley Cooper) and Susie (Amy Poehler) launching Camp Firewood's summer theatre program, an origin story for camp chef / trauma-addled Vietnam veteran Gene (Christopher Meloni), and more debaucherous rebellion from Rudd. Creators David Wain and Michael Showalter aren't resting on their laurels in terms of casting, either. Almost everyone from the original film has returned, and a few key additions are shown off in the trailer. My early favorites: Kristen Wiig's sexpot rower and Jon Hamm's camo-clad kitchen combatant.
