The Verge can be a little more like NPR

7

What I miss in The Verge is the field work. Research the subject, go outside the office, hear people. This episode (Remembering When Driverless Elevators Drew Skepticism) of Planet Money is great. To address self driving car, they go back and build a history about automatic elevators. And build hearing people, putting technology in your real context. This is way more rich than a opinion piece about google or apple car, for example.

I know the site needs a lot of content, but at least once a week is a good number to have this kind of content. The format can be this podcast embedded in the page. Is cool because we can consume while working, just in the background. Different than the long text features.
