Sony's colorful PS4 hard drive covers look pretty neat

Okay, so ¥2,500 (about $21) is kind of a lot to pay for a single piece of plastic. And most people probably want their AV equipment to look as discreet as possible beneath their TV. So Sony's interchangeable PlayStation 4 hard drive bay covers, announced in Japan earlier this week, might not be for you.
But it wouldn't do for us all to be the same, would it? And in person at Sony's Tokyo Game Show booth, I actually thought these colorful PS4s looked pretty striking. Personally, I think the red one will really tie my living room together. And at least you don't have to buy a whole new limited-edition console to make your PS4 stand out a bit.
No word on a US launch date for these, or any others, but I'd expect Sony to capitalize on the potential for selling expensive plastic soon enough.
