The Simpsons VHS tape is an urban legend in the making

I need someone to do me a solid and re-edit The Ring, replacing the movie's VHS tape — which kills anyone who views it seven days later — with The Simpsons VHS footage. Directed and published by Paris-based artist Yoann Hervo, the minute-and-a-half short is a psychedelic take on the longest-running animated show's opening credits.

In the YouTube description, Hervo writes, "[The] opening is just a small part of a collaboration project made up by Charles Huettner, Ivan Dixon and James Hatley." It's unclear if the original plan will ever be completed, or if this video is Hervo wrapping up the project.

Either way, this short clip should be enough material for an urban legend or creepy pasta.
