Hot off of Google's big Nexus event, HTC just announced its next product launch, which will take place on October 20th. The event, which will be held through a "virtual event" streamed from HTC's website, will apparently be used to announce the latest member of HTC's One family. Additionally, the invite sent to press today said "Meet the Marshmallow from HTC," hinting that the new device will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Of course, since this is a virtual event, you don't have to be press to attend, and HTC says you'll be able to tune in to the launch at www.htc.com/launch starting at 12PM ET on the 20th.

HTC also announced a special edition of the M9+ for the Taiwanese market earlier today, but it's not clear exactly what the new model will look like. Rumors have hinted at a device that closely mimics the design of the iPhone 6 and 6S, but we'll know for sure once HTC opens the curtains in a few weeks.
