Is the two-year wait for the next numbered Star Wars movie too long for you? Do you need closure on the stories of Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron and BB-8 now now now? Do you absolutely have to know more about the big bad boss at the center of the First Order? Well, I can't help you find official answers — but I can point you toward Stephen Byrne's beautiful mini-comic, Star Wars Episode 7.5, told across 14 pages contained in four tweets.

Byrne's light-hearted story puts Rey, Finn, Poe, and BB-8 together as a super squad, setting out to beat the ultimate evil in the galaxy. That evil wields a distinctive crossguarded lightsaber, but it's not Kylo Ren. It's not even Supreme Leader Snoke. No, as recently theorized by Star Wars fans, Jar Jar Binks is the Sith lord at the center of the galaxy's tilt toward the dark side, a malevolent puppet master pulling the strings of Skywalkers, Solos, and Senators alike. Luckily, our crack team of heroes is on hand — with a little help from old friends — to dispatch the monstrous Gungan, righting the ultimate wrong in the Star Wars galaxy.

Having worked on the Serenity comic book in the past, Byrne is no stranger to sci-fi art. His latest unofficial work might not fit exactly into Disney's long-term plan for Star Wars, but as with anything that ends in Jar Jar getting decapitated, we can hope that the company adopts it as canon, and soon.
