Facebook CEO challenges followers to run 365 miles in 2016

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has issued a new challenge to his 47 million followers: get up and go run. In a Facebook post published yesterday, Zuckerberg said he aims to run 365 miles in 2016, and encouraged his followers to do the same.

"This is a lot of running, but it's not a crazy amount," he wrote. "It's a mile a day, and at a moderate pace it's less than 10 minutes of running per day." (Some have questioned that time estimate, at least for beginners.)

Zuckerberg has named the campaign "A Year of Running," following up on 2015's "Year of Books" online book club. Users can share their experiences on the Year of Running Facebook group, and Zuckerberg says he'll post periodic updates there, as well. So far, the group has more than 43,000 members. Everyone else is probably looking at Facebook.
