In an age when everything is being uploaded to YouTube and Facebook, it's only natural that a pair of DJ headphones should have a camera built in to capture that great set. Here at CES 2016, Altec Lansing just announced its DVR DJ-style headphones, a pair of cans that has a 1080p action camera right inside.
In addition to its 40mm drivers, the left ear cup has what essentially amounts to a DJ GoPro, allowing the wearer to record everything they see at 30fps. The stream can be uploaded to the web via the cans' built-in Wi-Fi, or just stored to the 8GB internal memory or an optional microSD card. And with seven hours of battery life, the headphones can handle long nights out. These headphones will be available in Q2 later this year for $199.99, but we'll get a chance to play with them up close right here on the convention floor. Stay tuned.
