Clementine will be back just in time for Christmas. Telltale has announced that the third season of its Walking Dead series, called “A New Frontier,” will be premiering on December 20th. The news marks a slight delay, as the season was originally slated to kick off in November.

“A New Frontier” once again stars Clementine, who appears much older than in season two, which jumps ahead four years in the future. She’s joined by a mysterious new playable character named Javier. “As Javier, a young man determined to find the family taken from him, you meet a young girl who has experienced her own unimaginable loss,” explains Telltale. “Her name is Clementine, and your fates are bound together in a story where every choice you make could be your last.”

Like the rest of the series — and all of Telltale’s games — “A New Frontier” will play out like an interactive drama, with a heavy emphasis on making difficult moral choices. You can get a look at the game in action in this teaser from E3 in June.

When the game does launch, it’ll be available on a pretty large range of platforms, including PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and both iOS and Android. In the meantime, be sure to check out The Walking Dead’s chilling Michonne spinoff, as well as Telltale’s ongoing, excellent new take on Batman.
