Marvel took to Twitter today to announce that Netflix has renewed Luke Cage for a second season. The announcement comes after the first season premiered earlier this fall to extremely positive reviews about its take on the character.

There’s no word on when the second season would begin streaming: the first season of Iron Fist and a team-up story The Defenders are expected to air in 2017, while a third season of Daredevil, a second season of Jessica Jones, and a first season of The Punisher are already in the pipeline.
