First Click: The best LG phone ever, Zuckerberg's altered reality, and more from MWC 2016

February 22nd, 2016

So, what did you do with your Sunday? We spent it in Barcelona covering the day 1 kickoff of the big Mobile World Congress show. MWC is already shaping up to be a gadget lovers paradise with the launch of the lovely 2-in-1 laptop from Huawei, and the 360-degree cameras and flagship phones from both LG and Samsung. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are refinements to Samsung’s proven designs, but it was LG’s modular G5 and accessories that stole the show. At least until Mark Zuckerberg stole it back with a surprise, weirdly rock-star-like appearance at Samsung’s event.

HTC, Sony, AT&T, T-Mobile, HP and others are making headlines this morning with plenty more to come. So stay tuned all week as Verge reporters Sean O’Kane, Vlad Savov, Dan Seifert, James Vincent, and Tom Warren join Phil Esposito and Max Jeffrey from our oft-imitated, but never-duplicated video team to bring you the best coverage on the planet.

But first, let’s get you caught up on all the biggest stories from the weekend that was.
