Charli XCX is releasing a new EP on Friday on her very own new label, and the projects share a name: Vroom Vroom. The British pop star worked with enigmatic producer SOPHIE on the EP's title track, which premiered on The Fader this morning. The song made its public debut in October when Charli played it while filling in for Beats 1's Julie Adenuga, but this is the first time it's been officially released. According to Pitchfork, Charli's own regular Beats 1 show will premiere this Friday. Vroom Vroom is her first major release since her 2014 LP Sucker.

"Vroom Vroom Recordings is my new, experimental pop label, and it will combine my love for bubblegum pop with mystery and darkness," said Charli in a statement to The Fader. "The artists coming up through it will be sharp, potent, and deadly ... I've worked with SOPHIE on the new EP and what we create together speaks for itself. I'm making beautiful party songs right now and this is just the start. The album goes to other places and I can't wait for people to hear it." It's unclear whether Charli means Vroom Vroom or her forthcoming third LP when she references the album, but "Vroom Vroom" certainly fits the "beautiful party song" bill. The label also announced new singles from British pop artists RIVRS and CuckooLander alongside "Vroom Vroom," which you can check out here if you're so inclined.

Update February 23rd 12:35PM ET: Charli hopped on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show this afternoon to announce her own segment will be called The Candy Shop, and she also premiered another song from Vroom Vroom, "Trophy." You can hear it below.
