Creed director Ryan Coogler, along with Short Term 12 director Destin Daniel Cretton and writer Chinaka Hodge, is working on a new TV show called Minors. The fictional series will explore the lives of children who grow up within the juvenile detention system, Variety reports.

Minors will follow a group of young adults over the course of a single year to show how the juvenile detention system affects their lives. Coogler, Cretton, and Hodge will draw on their own experiences for inspiration: Coogler previously worked in a juvenile detention facility, Cretton worked in residential foster care, and Hodge taught in Bay Area continuation schools, according to Variety.

This will be the first TV series helmed by Coogler. The show is still in its early stages, and hasn't found a network or streaming platform home yet.
