Out on the red carpet for the New York City premiere of Daredevil season two, Power Man himself Mike Colter announced that Marvel's third Netflix series, Luke Cage, is officially set to debut on September 30th. The release puts its just under a year from the premiere of Jessica Jones, where fans got their first look at Cage in a supporting role.
"It's gonna be action-packed from the beginning to the very end," said Colter. "Trust me. Daredevil premieres March 18, and I will see the fans on September 30."

Luke Cage, otherwise known as Power Man, was first introduced in Marvel Comics back in 1972. As we've already seen on TV, he has superhuman strength and unbreakable skin. With this new outing, fans will see Cage move up to Harlem after the events of Jessica Jones. There, he'll encounter such characters as Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes, played by House of Cards alum Mahershala Ali and, of course, Claire Temple played by Rosario Dawson.
