Apple launches a new version of Safari for web developers

Safari Technology Preview

Apple has just released a new version of Safari designed for web developers who want to test out the latest web technologies before they hit the consumer version of the browser. Similar to what Google Chrome does with its Beta and Canary builds, Apple's Safari Technology Preview will give developers access to the newest versions of WebKit, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML that will eventually make their way into the consumer product.

Safari Technology Preview will sync with iCloud so your bookmarks and settings can be transferred over from the public release. Apple tells The Next Web that it will update Safari Technology Preview roughly every two weeks through the Mac App Store. The app can also run side-by-side with the current version of Safari. You can download Safari Technology Preview from Apple's developer portal today, and if you're not a registered developer with Apple, don't worry — anyone can download the app.
