Just as Darth Vader turned from student to master of the Force, so too has his son: Mark 'Luke Skywalker' Hamill's latest shot from the Pinewood sets of the still-untitled Star Wars: Episode VIII shows him riding on Daisy Ridley's back, just as Jedi master Yoda once rode on his. Hamill, sporting the angular beard we already saw at the very end of The Force Awakens, even bears the same look of mild consternation that we're used to with Yoda — like he can't quite remember if he left the oven on.
I'm not sure there's much you can glean about Episode VIII's story in this picture, but note that while Luke struggled and sweated his way around Dagobah with only a small green puppet strapped to his back, Ridley seems to be carrying a grown human man without complaint. The limit of Rey's Jedi powers may still be up in the air, but she definitely has some Forceful leg muscles.
A long time ago (last week I think) In a galaxy far, far way(@PinewoodStudios ) THIS happened! Happy Birthday Daisy! pic.twitter.com/dYc9j65YBD
