The original Star Wars trilogy is returning to theaters this summer

The original trilogy is heading back to theaters this summer. Entertainment Weekly reports that Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi will play back to back in select Alamo Drafthouse theaters in 20 cities this August.

The movies will (unfortunately) be shown in the 1997 re-release format, though, so that means Han won't shoot first here. Still! Tickets will go on sale on ReturnOfTheTrilogy.com on May 4th, otherwise known as Star Wars Day.
