Thanks to the marketing, chiefly Apple, and bloggers who review phones as fashion accessories (Verge is a chief culprit), people have become brainwashed into thinking 'metal is better', and that's what companies have to make now.
There isn't a single thing better about a metal body. Polycarbonate is -
- allows removable batteries
- more impact resistant
- doesnt bend
- less slippery
It's a better material in every way. Which is why phones used it. Most people use a case. Unless you want to show off your phone and stroke it and obsess over its looks (ever Verge review raves over how a phone looks and feels), then maybe, and even this is subjective, you might prefer metal.
