Looks like Samsung confirmed the contract from Apple for AMOLED displays next year.
Samsung Display will provide organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display panels for Apple's new iPhones, the company said Friday.
According to industry sources, the display manufacturing affiliate of Samsung Electronics will supply about 100 million 5.5-inch OLED panels to Apple over the next at least three years. This will bring about 3 trillion won in annual sales to the display maker.
The plan comes after a news report that the display-making unit of Samsung Electronics recently signed a contract with Apple to supply an annual 100 million OLED panels from the second quarter next year for three years.
