Last year Rogue One director Gareth Edwards teased some early concept footage from his film to close out the annual Star Wars Celebration get-together, but this year he's the main attraction. As part of today's opening festivities at Celebration, Edwards will be taking the stage in London along with producer Kathleen Kennedy to discuss his film — and hopefully show off the latest trailer — and you can watch it above starting at 11AM ET / 8AM PT.
The Edwards panel is just the capper on a long day of live-streamed events. Earlier this morning Mark Hamill discussed his career as Luke Skywalker, director Dave Filoni and actress Ashley Eckstein talked about Clones Wars fan favorite Ahsoka Tano, and the team at Industrial Light & Magic went over the design and visual effects history of the franchise (scroll back on the embed above to watch them all).
Will we see the return of Darth Vader?
The live stream will offer all other kinds of kitschy and cool interviews with Star Wars fans and creators throughout the weekend, but the Rogue One panel will no doubt be one of the highlights. A second trailer for the film is expected to arrive during Celebration, and if the event follows the precedent it set last year — during which the "Chewie, we're home" spot gave audiences their first look at Han Solo in The Force Awakens — the new footage could reveal another famous character that will soon be returning to the big screen: Darth Vader.
