Paramount has greenlit a fourth Star Trek movie, Deadline reports. Chris Pine, who starred in 2009's Star Trek, 2013's Star Trek Into Darkness, and the upcoming Star Trek Beyond, will return as Captain Kirk. The rest of the reboot cast is also expected to return, including Chris Hemsworth, according to Deadline. J.J. Abrams and Lindsey Weber are set to produce through their Bad Robot production company.
Deadline reports the plot will revolve largely around Captain Kirk's relationship with his father. The news comes just as Star Trek Beyond is about to hit theaters this Friday. Beyond was directed by Justin Lin; no director has been attached to the new movie yet.
