Big budget sci-fi films now double as amusement parks for the powerful and wealthy. Star Wars: The Force Awakens alone featured 24 — 24! — cameos noteworthy enough to appear in a Vanity Fair writeup. Not to be outdone, this week’s new release, Star Trek Beyond stars one cameo possibly worth more (financially, not existentially) than all of Star Wars’ cameos combined: Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos.
Last week, actor Chris Pine shared a peck of context about the cameo with Business Insider: "I was there for the bit with his, like, nine bodyguards and three limos. It was really intense. I had no idea who he was. Not a clue. But he was obviously very important." But only now do we have photographic evidence of alien Bezos. Here it is, a Vine of him... eating?

Star Trek Beyond director Justin Lin posted a photo of Bezos in character in the film.
Great thing about making Trek is having passionate people drop by, like @JeffBezos. Here he is with Lydia Wilson. pic.twitter.com/bKkEAmwjDS

I imagine he’s explaining to his alien colleague the annual benefits of an Amazon Prime membership, while in a deeper sub-level of his mind wondering, as many great intellectuals have before him, how long it will be until he once again lock eyes with a camera and eat.
The answer is now:
