A video emerged this morning showing an explosive device, reportedly linked to this weekend's explosions in New York City and New Jersey, detonating after law enforcement attempted to disarm it using a bomb robot.

A suspicious backpack was discovered in a garbage can in Elizabeth, New Jersey, officials said, and — after reportedly checking to see if something valuable was inside — two men reported finding wires and a pipe in the bag, according to ABC.

There were reportedly five explosive devices in the backpack. Police responded and attempted to use the robot to disarm the devices inside, when one exploded.

"In the course of rendering one of the devices safe, it detonated," the FBI said in a statement on the Elizabeth explosion given to ABC. "There are no injuries & law enforcement personnel are at the scene processing evidence."

After this weekend's explosions in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood and Seaside Park, New Jersey, authorities this morning issued a rare wireless emergency alert in the area, asking to report sightings of a man named Ahmad Khan Rahami, who is wanted for questioning in connection with the explosions.
